I've never made a blog before, but I was thinking that perhaps it would be easier than emailing everyone all the time. That way if you are bored, you can pop in and see what I've been up to, but if not, I won't be bombarding you with unwanted emails all the time.
The countdown is to four days until I leave. I'll be flying out of Grand Rapids on Feb. 2nd with my friend Perri, and I'm getting very excited! I'll be studying at the International College of Management for 13 weeks, then traveling with three of my friends to New Zealand, Fiji and Hawaii. I'll be arriving back in Grand Rapids on May 21st. Whew...that's a long time!
I'll update this periodically with all of my adventures. If you want to write to me personally, feel free to either leave a comment on here or write me at makaym@student.gvsu.edu, which I will be checking frequently.

ahh you are going to New Zealand too? you better visit The Shire, Rivendell, and possibly Mordor as well if you have time. Or else 'm going to kick you in the mouth.

Hope your flights went well and you didn't go too crazy on the long plane ride! I believe it is about 10:30 a.m. in Australia right now (7:30 p.m. here), and I'm sure you are loving the warm weather and sunshine! I'm so jealous! I'm looking forward to the updates, and missing you already! Love ya!
